At Skipperi, we take pride in maintaining a high standard of care and cleanliness for all our boats to ensure an enjoyable experience for every member. As a Skipperi member, you play a vital role in helping us achieve this goal. By following these guidelines, you’ll help keep our boats in excellent condition for yourself and others.

Before Your Trip

  1. Inspect the Boat
    • Before departing, perform a visual inspection of the boat.
    • Report any existing damages, issues, or unclean conditions in the Skipperi app during the check-in process. This ensures you won’t be held responsible for pre-existing problems.
  2. Prepare Accordingly
    • Bring trash bags to store any waste generated during your trip.
    • Avoid bringing items that could easily stain or damage boat surfaces, such as glass bottles, heavy-duty cleaning chemicals, or sharp objects.

During Your Trip

  1. Treat the Boat with Respect
    • Avoid rough handling of equipment, seating, or other boat features.
    • Keep food and drinks secure to prevent spills.
  2. No Water Sports
    • As per Skipperi policies, our boats are not to be used for water sports activities like towing, skiing, or wakeboarding. Such activities can damage the boat and compromise safety.
  3. Keep It Tidy
    • Place trash and recyclables in bags, and ensure they don’t blow away into the water or onto the deck.
    • Clean up spills immediately to prevent staining or slipping hazards.

After Your Trip

  1. Clean Up Before Checking Out
    • Remove all personal belongings, trash, and recyclables from the boat.
    • Wipe down surfaces to remove crumbs, spills, or dirt.
  2. Check for Damages
    • Inspect the boat for any damages caused during your trip. If any issues occurred, report them in the Skipperi app during the check-out process.
  3. Secure the Boat
    • Follow docking instructions carefully to ensure the boat is safely secured at the designated dock.

Skipperi’s Responsibilities

  • Regular Maintenance: Skipperi performs thorough cleanings and maintenance between bookings to keep the fleet in top condition.
  • Fair Wear and Tear: Members will not be charged for reasonable wear and tear; however, charges may apply for damages caused by misuse or negligence.

Important Notes

  • Respect the Next Member: Leaving a boat in poor condition may inconvenience the next user and result in additional cleaning fees.
  • Charges for Damage or Neglect: If damages or excessive cleaning are required after your reservation, the associated fees will be invoiced to you. Details about these charges can be found in our Terms and Conditions.
  • Report Issues Promptly: If you notice damages or unclean conditions when you check in, mark them in the app to avoid being held accountable.
