Cancellations and no-show penalties

Modified on Fri, 29 Nov, 2024 at 10:19 AM

At Skipperi, we understand that plans can change. To ensure fair access to the fleet for all members, our cancellation and no-show policies are in place to promote responsible booking practices and reduce unused reservation time. Below, we outline the details regarding cancellations and no-show penalties.

Cancellation Policy

1. Cancelling a Reservation

  • You can cancel your reservation directly through the Skipperi app before your scheduled check-in time.
  • Cancelling at least 24 hours before the reservation start time is required to avoid a late cancellation penalty.

2. Late Cancellations

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the reservation start time are considered late cancellations.
  • Late cancellations will be recorded in your membership profile, and repeated instances may result in penalties (outlined below).

No-Show Policy

A no-show occurs when a member fails to check in for their reservation without cancelling it in advance.

First Offense

  • You will receive a warning and a reminder to cancel or update reservations promptly in the future.

Second Offense

  • A no-show/late cancellation fee ($100 USD) will be charged to your account. The fee helps ensure equitable access for other members and minimizes disruption to fleet availability.
  • No Show/ late cancellation fees are listed here: Skipperi Price List

Avoiding No-Show Penalties

  • Always cancel your reservation if you are unable to attend. If plans change last minute, use the app to update your booking as early as possible.

Important Notes

  • Fair Access for All Members: Skipperi operates with a limited number of boats, so no-shows and late cancellations directly impact other members’ ability to enjoy the fleet.
  • Member Accountability: It is the responsibility of members to manage their reservations and cancellations.

How to Cancel Your Reservation

  1. Open the Skipperi app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap the ‘My Reservations’ section.
  3. Select the reservation you wish to cancel.
  4. Confirm the cancellation.

Questions or Disputes

If you believe a no-show or late cancellation fee has been applied in error, you can contact Skipperi customer service for review. Include any relevant details about the reservation, and our team will assist you.

By following the cancellation guidelines, you help keep the Skipperi fleet accessible and enjoyable for all members. Thank you for your cooperation!
